Almost home and home!!!!!!!!!!

We got a train to Santander but when we got there we had to wait for 13.5 hours so we went to a park and I ran around and played .

image

I also went on a carousel but the horse I was on went back and forth, back and forth, rather than up and down, up and down.

image

On board the boat that we had to catch from Santander I had a photo with a bear. Rooaar!

image

We went to a clown show and the clown said “what do you want me to make out of a balloon?” and I said “a turtle”. This is Mr Turtle.

image

We also saw a circus act. A man did some fantastic juggling with all sorts of stuff.

image

I came off the boat with 1 day until I get home (it was the first time in 15 months that I’ve actually touched English floor). One of my friends dad picked us up from the boat and took us to his house. I was really excited to see Joff, Charlotte, Millie,Theo and Charlie!

image

We spent a really nice night with the whole family. Millie and I had a rubber foot, hand, ear and nose, we also had a fake snake that looked real, that we put in my mummy’s bed. I had a fun night and a fun morning.

image

Now I am off on a train and I’ll be home this afternoon at 3.30pm.

We met 2 ladies on the train that were really really nice. Erica Trahar wrote about me on her blog THANK YOU (www.ericatrahar.com). She is travelling for a year around Europe and other places (she is from Australia). Once Rachel Tanner lived in Montserrat (Caribbean) she ran up and down the beach EVERY MORNING to stop people from getting turtle eggs to eat and other stuff to do with them WELL DONE!!!
They both gave me a donation to the turtles, a really big thank you!!!

I’m off the train now, hello, hola, hello! My Nana and Grandad, Grandma and Grandad, Grandad By The Sea and Daddy were all waiting at Cheltenham station for us to get off the train.

image

I’m crying because I’m so happy to be home sweet hoooooome!!!

2 Madridee days

We went to a gallery in Madrid called Museo Del Prado where there were 10 Picasso’s. I like Picasso paintings the best because they are all hibbledy jibbly. My favourite one was called ‘Woman with a hat seated in an armchair’.

image

I had an activity book that had maps and different bits of specific paintings that I had to look for in the gallery (this was really fun).

image

image

After that we went to a huge park called El Retiro to watch the sun go down.

image

Tomorrow we’re going to go back to the park and have a proper look around. I really enjoyed today and hopefully tomorrow it will be just as joyful and happy.

NEXT DAY AT RETIRO PARK AND OTHER COOL PLACES!!!

“Row row row your boat gently down the stream. Merrily merrily merrily, life is but a dream”

image

What’s this doing here? We are nowhere near the sea.

image

Behind us is the Crystal Palace in El Retiro park, unfortunately there was scaffolding inside.

image

Mummy and I made a couple of daisy chains to hang over my favourite tree.

image

This is my favourite tree because I had fun climbing it.

image

We found a really nice restaurant that had dumplings that were
steamed and then fried (which is the best type).

image

What can you find that’s a bit unusual in this photo (this photo was taken in the Plaza Mayor).

image

Is this a statue or a man?

image

Adios Madrid Adios!

image

This is going to be something Cruiseeee!!! (across the Atlantic)

I really enjoyed this Club HAL that was on the cruise ship because the people that worked there were really nice – Geoffrey (I called him Uncle Geoffrey), Kerry and Sophie. I also made some really good friends, especially Emily, Cali, Mike, Emma, Daisy and Martina.

Lumos Orlando:O >— 1

I really like Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios because of all the really good rides.

After every picture I am going to put the number of times I went on a ride.

I like these rides
– Cat in the hat (25)
– 1 fish, 2 fish, red fish, blue fish (10). This is the song that they sing “one fish, red fish, up, up, up. Two fish, blue fish, down, down, down”

image

– Krustyland (10). I hate roller coasters but I liked this one because it wasn’t exactly a roller coaster, it was a simulator.

image

– Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barge (1). If you don’t like getting wet don’t go on this ride!!!

image

– Transformers 3D ride (15)
This was a pretty awesome ride!

image

– Olivander’s wand chooses the wizard (5). I got chosen to do this!

Sunset Boat party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This a boat party at Alton’s Dive Centre “woo hoo”. Because I was on the boat people could sit on the front of the boat which made everyone very happy. I was the only child so I couldn’t go to the back of the boat where people were being stupid, drinking and saying rude words. It only went on a Saturday night!

Trunkfish diving in Utila (Honduras)

This post is called trunkfish diving because the most amazing thing I saw was a trunkfish when I was diving in Utila with Shelley who was my dive instructor.
This is Shelley!

image

My very first dive I did was off the end of the dock at Alton’s Dive Centre. When we were at Gili Trawangan (Indonesia) I did 4 dives but they were in the swimming pool. Here I have done 2 dives in the sea. On my first dive I saw lots of different fish and the most exciting thing I saw was a gold spotted moray eel.

On my second dive I went out on one of the dive boats to Little Bight. I saw a parrot fish getting cleaned by tiny cleaner fish and the most exciting thing I saw was a trunkfish. This is a picture of a trunkfish, pretty cool huh?*

image

image

image

Diving felt like all the little fish were walking around in the streets and the coral was big buildings and I was on an aeroplane flying over it. I had my swimming stuff on, 2 wetsuits, my socks and a BCD I felt like I was in England on a very cold day wrapped in the aeroplane going over the little town.

image

After I finished doing my dive, I had to fill in my dive log with all the things I saw.

image

I did not find this fish in the sea but my daddy did.
FIND THE FISH!!!!!
The fish looks like coral and it’s rather large (it is called a scorpion fish).

Yummy crabs in Utila, Honduras

My mummy and I got up at 8.30 in the morning to collect lots of mud crabs for iguanas (we did this lots of times and sometimes my daddy came with us). That’s why my blog is called yummy crabs.

image

We went down to the iguana station and then walked on the beachy area with all the other volunteers.

YOU NEED:
1) A thin stick
2) Some kind of a container
3) Glove (if you want one)

When we got to the place where we collect crabs we put a bucket on the ground and started looking for them. The mud crabs live in holes of various sizes. You put your stick in front of the hole and then push down as hard as you can. Hopefully you’ll see some little crab legs. Next push the crab out of the hole, grab it and put it in your container.

image

image

image

We went back to the iguana station with our bucket of crabs. One of the volunteers got some pincers and gave them to me, then we went into the first cage. Next I picked up one of the crabs with the pincers. I put out the crab to the iguana as soon as the iguana saw it it dived for it. Just like that, it was gone. After we’d finished feeding the iguanas in the first cage we went on to the second, third and fourth cages and so on until we got to the last cage.

image

image

image

This is what we were like when we had finished.

image

We were feeding the iguanas crabs because they LOVE them and because the type of iguana we were feeding is endangered. The Iguana Station is a conservation centre. They are breeding the Utila Spiny Tailed ‘Swamper’ Iguanas because locals are eating them. I think they are doing a great job. If you want more information go to http://www.utila-iguana.de

This is not an iguana this is a crab!

image

I really liked this poster that they had on their wall because of the “Do not eat” part.

Thank you for reading this blog post. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Thriller Utila (in Honduras)

Before we carried on our massive journey we had to have a break so we stopped off in Utila and rented an apartment for 5 weeks. I had my own bedroom and my mummy and daddy had their own bedroom. Also we had a lounge and a kitchen to do all our cooking in. We made lots of friends at the place where Daddy and I went diving and had lots of fun.

Utila was fun, happy, lovely, peaceful and joyful all the time but not when I had 3 tarantulas in my bedroom. Utila island is very very small with very very small buildings. There were lots of nice places to eat my favourite place to eat were Utila Tea Cup because that had fabulous apple pie and banana custard pie. Also there was a Chinese place called Foo King Wok, an Italian place which I don’t know the name of and a BBQ place called RJ’s.

image

The Jade Seahorse place was made out of very random pieces of stuff like plates, bowls, bottles and lots of different coloured mosaics. It was a hotel, bar and restaurant.

image

image

I like this photo because the thing/wall that I’m standing by is made out of bottles which is probably what BSTS is going to do for their hatchery behind the turtle in Bali.

image

Grandma please DO NOT look at these last 2 photos! You will be scared and you have been warned!!!!

This is a tarantula that my daddy found above the doorway in our apartment. Tarantulas are hairy big and dangerous because if you annoy them they flick their bottom hairs at you and they’re really really itchy and then if you keep on annoying them they bite you and it feels like a bee sting. Not to worry they didn’t bite my mummy daddy or me, one did bite my daddy’s friend.:'(

image

This is a banana spider that was at the Jade Seahorse. They are cool and striped, they were hanging around everywhere on the island. They are a little bit bigger than two 50p coins side by side.

The Tea & Chocolate Place and boxer puppy in Honduras

About 12 years ago a man named David Sedat set up a conservation place for tea, chocolate, noni and various other plants. In Copan there is a lot of area that people have cut down trees so the soil is not good because water has fallen on the mountains and made all the good stuff that is in the soil get washed away. But David Sedat managed to get it OK again so it looked liked this.

image

Daddy and I are having a nice cup of tea and a little bit of cocoa.

image

At the tea and chocolate place David Sedat’s daughter’s boyfriend came in with a boxer puppy that was about 10 days old. I gave it a little cuddle but it ended up to be a cuddle that went on all afternoon. Also I got its first poo on my lap!

image

image

image

image

At Copan we met two families that were backpacking, they also have two children. We went out for a meal with them and played a lot during the day. One family is from Canada and the other family is from Denmark.

image

I had a lot of fun with them but the most fun I had was when we were shaving a coconut with my daddy’s shaver.
